Dr. Scott Ross has been providing expert periodontal and dental implant care to patients in South Florida for over 30 years. A Miami native, Dr. Ross is passionate about advancing the field of periodontics while making a meaningful impact on the lives of his patients.
Dr. Ross graduated at the top of his class from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, earning his DDS degree. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish-Queens Hospital and pursued specialty training in periodontics at the Medical College of Virginia. A pioneer in implant surgery, Dr. Ross has remained at the forefront of his field, continuously engaging in research, education, and advanced surgical techniques to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ross has played a vital role in shaping Miami’s dental community. He has served as president of several local dental societies and as Chairman of the General Practice Residency at Miami Children’s Hospital. He is also the founder of the Alumni Association for the Medical College of Virginia Department of Periodontics. Currently, Dr. Ross serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at NOVA Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where he mentors and guides future periodontists.
Teaching and mentoring are at the heart of Dr. Ross’s career. For over 15 years, he has been actively involved in academia, keeping up with advancements in periodontics, implant dentistry, and dental technology. He frequently lectures at dental clubs, societies, and universities nationwide and has published numerous research articles in both clinical and research-focused dental journals.
Alongside his son, Dr. Bradley Ross, Dr. Scott Ross leads local study clubs, including a dental study club sponsored by the International Team for Implantology and a dental hygiene study club. Through these initiatives, he continues to support and educate his peers while staying at the forefront of the latest developments in periodontics and implant dentistry.
Dr. Ross is honored to work alongside his family, including his son Bradley, a periodontist, and his son Greg, an orthodontist. He and his wife, Gerry, have dedicated their lives to both their family and their community, and Dr. Ross is proud to share his passion for dentistry with those he loves.
Dr. Ross wants his patients to know they are in expert hands with him and his team. Every day, he strives to provide compassionate, high-quality care, ensuring his patients leave the office feeling confident and well cared for.
